It’s an accessory for Janome multi-needle embroidery machines (specifically models like MB-4, MB-4S, MB-7) to allow you to hoop and embroider on curved, tubular, or hard-to-hoop items like socks, wristbands, gloves, pouches, and similar items.

It’s specially designed so you can attach the item (sock, waistband, etc.) in a way that the machine can stitch designs on it even though it's not flat.
